
China Prosperous Clean Energy Corporation, a retailer and wholesaler of compressed natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas through its subsidiaries based in China, today announced that the Company has completed the first stage of construction for natural gas distribution network for residential usage in Shijiazhuang Yuanshi County. This project has now entered the second stage which includes a CNG mother station, an additional 64.7 kilometers of natural gas pipeline and related facilities.
There are over 11,000 taxies, 3,000 buses and 1,500 mini-buses while only 11 CNG stations are currently available in Shijiazhuang. The CNG mother station under construction is mainly for wholesale and retail of CNG for local vehicles using natural gas as alternative energy. The total investment of this project in Shijiazhuang is approximately $14.3 million.
“We are very pleased to complete construction for the first stage of Shijiazhuang project. This major milestone allows CHPC to officially launch this new revenue producing unit during the 2nd quarter of 2009. This will not only allow us to further diversify our revenues, but also further extend our footprint in Northern China,” commented Mr. Wei Wang, Chairman and CEO of China Prosperous Clean Energy Corporation.
“Our team is currently working on the second stage of this project and we expect to have the network and CNG mother station in service at the end of 2009. This new business unit will enable China Prosperous Clean Energy Corporation to immediately start supplying natural gas to residential customers in Shijiazhuang Yuanshi County. Additionally, we believe that the operating foundation we have put in place will enable us to capitalize on new projects coming on line in the near term while taking advantage of new opportunities in this rapidly growing industry,” concluded Mr. Wang.
