ENTESSA Delivers Enhanced Marine Management Capabilities to HOVENSA

Entessa, Inc., a leading provider of Oil and Gas Logistics Management Solutions, delivered a major upgrade to the Marine Modules of its Synthesis(TM) enterprise software suite to Hovensa, a joint venture between Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES) and Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA). With its enhanced Marine Management capabilities this upgrade further streamlines the process of vessel, cargo, and dock scheduling at the Hovensa Refinery Marine Terminal.

Hovensa is located in the United States Virgin Islands and operates one of the most modern and largest refineries in the world with crude oil processing capacity of 525,000 barrels per day (BPD). Hovensa’s Vessel Positioning System (VPS), the logistics application for its marine and terminal operations, is an implementation of Synthesis(TM). By upgrading to Synthesis(TM) Release 4.0, VPS gains enhanced functionality in loss control monitoring, dock utilization tracking, vessel turnaround analysis, and demurrage enhancements which ensure that Hovensa’s marine operations are fully integrated with the refinery’s production planning process.
