Hydrogen Hybrid, Corp. Endorses California’s Offering to Truckers of Over One Billion Dollars in Funding for Converting Their Semi Trucks

Wednesday, December 3rd 2008

Hydrogen Hybrid, Corp. announced their endorsement of the California state government’s plan to offer $1 billion in funding to offset the costs of complying with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) proposed regulations. The two proposed regulations would reduce toxic and greenhouse gas emissions by requiring retrofits for newer diesel trucks and the phasing out of older trucks, starting in 2012.

Hydrogen Hybrid, Corp. plans to introduce a Fuel Cell system designed specifically for Class 8 semi trucks. Performance tests indicate that the Diesel Hydrogen Fuel Injection System (DHFIS) has the ability to increase a Class 8 semi truck’s fuel efficiency by 50% under a full 80,000 lb load. This cost-effective and environmentally-conscious technology can be installed on most semi trucks and promises to simultaneously increase gas mileage and decrease emissions.
