Hyperdynamics’ Louisiana Production Remains Steady

Friday, August 8th 2008

Hyperdynamics Corporation announced that its July domestic production for Louisiana was 5,077 barrels sold. This represents the third straight month that gross production surpassed the 5,000 barrel mark. The company also reported it received an average price of $135 per barrel. Production has held steady for the last three months in the face of record setting floods along the Mississippi River. The flood waters abated during the last week of July and the company now plans a program of workovers and recompletions slated for August and September. The company should also soon commence some targeted infill drilling and development projects.

When asked to comment, the Company’s Chief Executive Kent Watts stated, “With the flood waters subsiding we have been encouraged to see our production beginning to rise again towards our stated goal of 500 BOPD. We feel we can accomplish this with our current workover and development programs.”
