RMT, Inc. (RMT) is expanding its Sustainable Business Services Group with the addition of industry veterans Drew Smith and Michael Radcliffe.
Smith will lead RMT’s Transaction Advisory Services, a unit that manages the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) aspects of merger, acquisition, and divesture projects. He will direct a professional team that is skilled at evaluating EHS systems, estimating risk, negotiating, and integrating acquisitions into an existing EHS framework.
Smith brings 27 years of experience to his RMT role. He has held EHS leadership and operational positions for global companies in the chemical, materials technology, nonwoven textile, aviation, and heavy machinery manufacturing industries. As an EHS due diligence expert, Smith has worked on private equity and corporate-driven deals, and has directed all aspects of the transaction process, including risk management, legal interface, and post-transaction transition.
RMT’s new Strategic Advisory Services Leader, Michael Radcliffe, will help clients craft and implement sustainability programs that meet their specific business needs. He will focus on developing strategies that help companies leverage their environmental, carbon management, and social initiatives to gain competitive advantage.
Radcliffe has more than 28 years of environmental engineering and management consulting experience. He has held leadership roles at KPMG, URS, and Brown and Caldwell, providing strategic advice on sustainability and climate change to the industrial and commercial sectors.
“It says a lot that RMT can attract such highly respected industry veterans,” says Sarah Burton, RMT’s Sustainable Development Director. “Drew and Michael will quickly become trusted advisors to our clients because they are great listeners, know how to balance competing financial and environmental objectives, and can effectively translate strategy into action.”
