Intrepid Begins Selling Gas From Biogas Plant #2

Tuesday, August 19th 2008

Intrepid Technology and Resources, Inc., a renewable biogas alternate energy and soil amendment company, reached another critical milestone by its first delivery of pipeline quality gas from the WestPoint biogas plant to its Landview Fertilizer customer. Deliveries began the week of 11 August 2008 and are continuing on a regular basis.

“Having successfully demonstrated our ability to supply high quality gas in a timely manner and in sufficient quantities to satisfy demand, other remote industrial propane users are approaching ITR to discuss the possibilities of supplying them as well. We expect to sign two additional customers in the near term and look forward to expanding our service area,” stated Jack Haffey, ITR CEO.

Brad Frazee, Executive Vice President, said, “A combination of factors that led to a prolonged startup process at WestPoint appears to have had a positive effect on the bacteria culture we were attempting to cultivate. We are experiencing a steady and very encouraging rise in production levels as the biological activity within the digester tanks continues to grow. The knowledge we have gained in this startup will be of great benefit to us in our future projects and in optimizing our existing operations.”
