Local Insurer Takes Lower Gas Prices to New Extreme in Chicago

Monday, October 20th 2008

Gas prices will be a little less scary this Halloween season as one local insurer treats Chicago drivers to $0.99/gallon gas.

The company announced today that it has partnered with a local gas station to provide the discounted gas at a special promotion scheduled tomorrow, October 21st between 11am and 2pm. The location will be announced on a special website, www.RefuelingChicago.com, just prior to the event. Area drivers lucky enough to make it to the event may pump up to 10 gallons of gas at the $.99/gallon price subsidized by Infinity Insurance.

Refueling Chicago is part of a national promotion to ease costs for drivers in cities across the country, and is a natural extension of Infinity’s low cost approach to car insurance. Dan Davis, a Division Manager with Infinity commented: “Gas prices and the economy affect everyone. Other insurance companies spend large sums on advertising. We’d rather provide a direct benefit to the communities we serve.”

Infinity Insurance is part of Infinity Property and Casualty Corporation, a national provider of personal automobile insurance. Its products are offered through a network of approximately 13,000 independent agencies and brokers. For more information about Infinity, please visit www.InfinityAuto.com.
