Pritchard Capital Partners Hires Senior Professionals to Expand Sales and Trading Group

Pritchard Capital Partners, an energy investment bank and institutional financial services firm, announced today additional expansions to its institutional sales and trading teams with the addition of Owen Jones and John Joyce. Mr. Jones joins as a senior vice president sales trader based in the Washington, D.C., office and Mr. Joyce joins as a senior vice president in the firm’s institutional sales team in the New York office.

Mr. Jones has over 10 years of extensive knowledge of international markets and risk capital management, while Mr. Joyce brings over 20 years of industry experience and a deep understanding of capital markets and the development of trading strategies.

These additions to the sales and trading teams highlight the continued growth of the firm. This year, Pritchard Capital has added numerous senior level hires – in sales, trading and equity research – which has strengthened the company’s core business and enhanced the firm’s entry into the renewable energy sector.

Mr. Jones joined Pritchard Capital from Lehman Brothers’ London office as director of equity trading, where he was responsible for growing Lehman’s real estate and specialty financial franchise. In former positions, Jones was a proprietary trader with HSBC in London and was a captain in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Jones holds an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business and a BS from the United States Navel Academy.

Prior to joining Pritchard Capital, Joyce was a vice president at Creditex Inc., responsible for driving the expansion of the LCDS desk and credit derivatives teams. In previous positions, Joyce was a senior level institutional equity sales trader at GFI Group, Sanford Bernstein & Company and Merrill Lynch. He graduated with a BS from Colgate University.
