Solaicx, the only manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon ingots and wafers to use proprietary growers designed exclusively for solar applications, today announced that Steven Concklin has joined the company as supply chain director. As Solaicx continues to focus on scale in order to meet growing customer demands, Mr. Concklin will represent the company’s interests with key global vendor partners and streamline the company’s supply chain as it executes on its plan for mass production.
“Steven comes aboard as Solaicx continues to ship globally to fill customer orders, and his ability to establish and maintain synergistic relationships throughout the supply chain supports our company growth strategy well,” said Bob Ford, president and CEO of Solaicx. “His experience building world-class processes for component procurement while improving logistics will accelerate Solaicx’s production expansion.”
Steven Concklin brings 25 years of industry experience to Solaicx. Prior to accepting his current position with the solar manufacturer, Mr. Concklin held several management positions in GE Energy’s Solar Technologies division, where he established and fostered relationships with supply chain vendors while designing a materials tracking and sorting program that allowed for significant production volume increases. Previously, Mr. Concklin played a pivotal leadership role in growing Conectiv from start-up phase into a significant competitive energy provider on the East Coast. Mr. Concklin also spent a decade at DuPont, where he served as global product manager and contract pricing manager.
“Solaicx is uniquely positioned to enhance crystalline silicon ingot and wafer quality while reducing process costs, which will affect every step of the solar value chain,” said Steven Concklin. “I am looking forward to further enhancing the quality and value of Solaicx’s products so that the company can continue to focus on delivering custom ingots and wafers to its growing customer base.”
