The Methanol Institute and its member companies have once again joined with Jim Jordan & Associates (JJ&A) to host the premier global methanol conference. The 2008 Methanol Forum will be held on Tuesday, November 4th and Wednesday November 5th at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This year’s theme is “Dubai 2008: Global Methanol & Fuels Review.”
The 2008 Methanol Forum will feature a stellar lineup of international speakers discussing topical issues relating to chemical and fuels markets for methanol and its downstream derivatives. Sessions will focus on methanol fuel blending in Asia and around the world, and emerging markets for DME fuels. Mr. Yousef Al-Zamel, Vice-President, Basic Chemicals for SABIC will address the opening session of the Methanol Forum. Also presenting this year is Mr. Abdullah Bin Zaid Alhagbani, Secretary General for Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA). A panel of experts will interact with delegates in the same successful format as in 2007. JJ&A, MMSA, SABIC, GPCA, Petronas, MAN Ferrostaal, Vitol, Volvo, Lotus Engineering and Taiyuan University representatives are among the distinguished list of confirmed presenters.
