SUEZ Energy Resources NA to Host ERCOT Energy Summit in Dallas

SUEZ Energy Resources NA, the retail energy business of SUEZ Energy North America, will be hosting an educational summit to discuss the specificities of the Texas energy market (ERCOT) on Sept. 24, 2008, in Dallas. The event will provide SUEZ customers and prospects the unique opportunity to exchange ideas with leading industry experts and discuss topics that are at the forefront of the energy market in Texas.

The one-day complimentary summit will feature a variety of industry experts speaking on topics ranging from ERCOT’s transition from a Zonal to a Nodal market, to Demand Response services and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Program. Speakers include:

* Andrew Weissman, Senior Energy Advisor with FTI-Washington, D.C., will present on today’s Energy Market Outlook, reviewing political, social and climate changes that are driving energy prices, oil and natural gas;
* Khai Lee, Vice President with PCI, will focus on ERCOT’s transition to a Nodal market, including the objectives and potential impact of this transition;
* Paul Wattles, Supervisor of Demand Response for ERCOT, will address Demand Response initiatives including the benefits of enrolling in the EILS and LAAR Programs;
* Tim Murray, LEED AP, Chair, U.S. Green Building Council, will talk about what the LEED Program is and why customers should take note of it; and
* Orrin Cook, Senior Analyst with Center for Resource Solutions, will educate attendees on Green Partnership & Labeling, including the benefits of Green-e.

Attendees will learn about the pertinent topics currently affecting the Texas energy market and as a result, our goal is to help them feel better-informed when it comes to making the decisions that matter about their own energy use.”

In addition to SUEZ Energy’s lineup of experts, Stephen Jones, COO, Executive Vice President and Director of Personnel with the Dallas Cowboys, will be delivering a keynote focused on risk management. Jones coordinates the Cowboys’ entire player personnel department and oversees the negotiation of all player contracts including the management of the salary cap and the operation of the Texas Stadium and is uniquely familiar with risk management within his daily operations. He will put into perspective how customers need to take a proactive role in monitoring their energy needs as a way of mitigating risk associated with today’s volatile market.

The summit will kick off the evening of Sept. 23 when SUEZ will host a complimentary networking event at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium where attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with former Dallas Cowboy Jay Novacek. The pre-summit kickoff begins at 5:30 p.m. and will take place at the Stadium Club in the Texas Stadium.
