World Energy Solutions, Inc., an energy services and electronics manufacturer, announced that it has received approval from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for all models in its new range of Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS).
Ben Croxton, CEO of World Energy Solutions, said “This is an enormous milestone for the Company, and we have worked very hard to achieve this goal. Needless to say, UL approval is a critical element to the success of World Energy. We are proud to have their stamp of approval.”
Croxton continued, “We have completely re-designed and value-engineered our TVSS products to be more efficient, lighter, easier to install, more compact and capable of fitting into less accessible spaces. These products will help to expand the Company’s position in the multi-billion dollar TVSS market.”
Transient voltage surges, or power surges, are brief spikes of power that can permanently damage electrical equipment. It is the single largest cause of premature electrical equipment failure and costs U.S. industry $26 billion per year in lost time, repair and replacement expenses, according to a recent study.
World Energy believes that the UL approval will provide a significant boost to early sales of the products that were launched this week. The new product line is comprised of 15 basic models for surge protection in applications including Closed-circuit television, Fire and Intruder Alarm Systems, Telecommunications, Access Controls and other sensitive electronic equipment.
The new TVSS units will be sold under the “E CLIPS” brand and can be ordered on-line from the Company’s new state of the art automated web-site www.eclipstvss.com where complete product descriptions, specification sheets and illustrations are available with details of a range of possible applications.
